Torba Farm: Where Desert Sands and Oasis Intertwined

Torba Farm, where it all began

In the early 1980s, Torba Farm took root as a cherished family-owned haven, nestled north of Doha in the Al Khor Municipality. From its modest beginnings, a visionary dream of cultivating nature’s abundance came to life. The founders, driven by an unwavering love for the land and a deep connection to its resources, set out to create a diverse and thriving landscape. Date palms, sidr trees, aromatic herbs, and a small herd of animals graced the farm, harmoniously coexisting with vast grass fields and clusters of trees fed by underground aquifers. Over the years, the farm underwent a magnificent transformation, evolving into a true green oasis and a beacon of sustainability in Qatar. Embracing regenerative and sustainable farming practices rooted in permaculture and agricultural biodiversity, Torba Farm flourished. Its nurturing environment became home to a wide range of valuable medicinal, aromatic, and edible plants, some of which carry ancient healing traditions passed down through generations

The Journey of Torba Farm: Where Nature and Community Flourish

In the early 1980s, Torba Farm emerged as a cherished family-owned sanctuary situated north of Doha within the Al Khor Municipality. This humble beginning was born out of a visionary dream to nurture the bounties of nature. The founders, deeply connected to the land and its resources, embarked on a journey to create a thriving and diverse landscape. In our capacities as the Co-founders of Torba Farm and Torba Naturals, I’m thrilled to connect with you. We proudly stand as sustainability pioneers, cultivating valuable medicinal, aromatic, and edible plants using regenerative and sustainable methods. At Torba Farm, we harness nature’s treasures to craft 100% pure therapeutic-grade essential oils, hydrosols, and botanical products. Each essential oil undergoes rigorous third-party GC-MS lab testing to ensure unparalleled quality. Our selection comprises over 50 essential oils, blends, and hydrosols, all inspired by the rich diversity of our farm’s plant life and adaptable ecosystem. Our mission is clear. We are committed to crafting natural, chemical-free products in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner for the well-being of our bodies, minds, households, pets, gardens, and even our plants. Our greatest impact lies in promoting the health and wellness of communities, empowering individuals and families to make healthy lifestyle choices through items sourced from the abundance of nature. Within the farm’s confines, one could find date palms, sidr trees, aromatic herbs, and a small herd of animals living in harmony with vast grassy fields and clusters of trees nourished by underground aquifers.

As the years passed, Torba Farm underwent a remarkable transformation, evolving into a green oasis and a symbol of sustainability in Qatar. The farm embraced regenerative and sustainable farming practices deeply rooted in permaculture and agricultural biodiversity. This nurturing environment became a haven for various medicinal, aromatic, and edible plants, some of which carried ancient healing traditions passed down through generations. Fast forward to today, Torba Farm has become a green oasis for a multitude of native flora and fauna, establishing itself as a trailblazer in sustainability in Qatar. It cultivates a wide array of valuable medicinal, aromatic, and edible plants. Thanks to our dedication to regenerative and sustainable farming practices rooted in permaculture and agricultural biodiversity, the farm has become a welcoming haven for local wildlife, including parakeets, barn owls, bats, desert foxes, and more. To supplement our offerings, Torba sources ethically grown plant materials such as resins, barks, and select spices from around the world. Through our expert distillation process, we transform them into pure essential oils and hydrosols. As our farm continues to diversify and adapt, our selection of essential oils, absolutes, blends, and hydrosols keeps expanding. Our team remains inspired by the endless diversity of nature’s offerings and our farm’s ever-growing plant diversity and adaptive ecosystem. We encourage one another to be more attuned to nature, to learn, and to live in harmony with our environment. We honour the land, respect the future, and recognize our responsibility to give back to the earth.
